I’ve been running, lifting, circuit training, and have been sitting a a plateau for a while now. I need to make some changes. I decided it is time to change up my routine. I am working towards my push-up goals (I am up to 22 in a row), as well as my 10 minute mile 1/2 Marathon (it’s coming along, but not as well), but I needed something else. I started INSANITY.
So for those of you who don’t know, Insanity is a 60 day work out program developed by Shaun T for the Beachbody company. It is cardio driven, high intensity, interval workouts that require no equipment beyond your DVD player and a water bottle. I’m on day #3 and I will say, it lives up to it’s name! I didn’t think I would survive the fit test, let alone the first work out. Even some of the people on the video look like they might die.

It’s important to strive to be your best. Sometimes, in order to achieve that goal, you have to be bold enough to make changes. You have to move out of your comfort zone and find new challenges to test your limits. This can be scary, hard, and ever inconvenient but if you don’t try it, how will you know what you are truly capable of?
How are you going to switch things up today?
