“It is not uncommon for people to spend their whole life waiting to start living.” ~Eckhart Tolle
How many times have you said to your self, “Self, I’m going to do that when I lose 20 lbs” or “Self, I am going to do that when I get organized” or “I should wait until after I’ve done XY and Z before I do that”
We sit around waiting for the perfect set of circumstances before we proceed with the next thing we want to do. Why? What is stopping us from jumping on the Nike band wagon and just doing it? We worry about the things that we “should” be doing. The should bog us down and stress us out. I was reading something where the author said, imagine replacing all the “shoulds” on your list with the word could. Opting to say “could” gives us a choice rather than the feeling on intense obligation.
So if we brush away those shoulds, what else is stopping you? What other excuses are blocking you? In actuallity, the only thing stopping you, is you. Let’s change that, and get things moving. It’s time to press play!
